Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing a little information about the people who make up Team Little Guy. Leading the pack (as usual) is Bubba, the team’s oldest member in terms of age, but who is without a doubt the youngest TLG member at heart. (By the way: nice cheeks, Bubba.)
Q: How long have you been running?
A. Since 1979.
Q: Special training you’re doing for the race.
A: CU loading … putting money in the CU and carbs in the Team Little Guy tank!
Q: Personal records for different distances.
A: Tooooooo many to brag about … BUT I never have run in a 208 mile relay!!!
Q: Favorite races you have run.
A: By far the “Twin Cities Marathon” in Minneapolis. I ran the very first one in 1982 and competed 20 years in-a-row! Personal record there: 2:58:17!
Q: How long you have been a credit union member, employee or worked with credit unions?
A: I bet my Mother signed me up in 1959 or so at the Ste. Famille (now Holy Family) Credit Union in Lewiston, Maine. I STILL HAVE THE GREEN CU Deposit BOOK! Me & the CU book have been ridden hard & put away wet over these years!
Q: Favorite athlete?
A: Eman of course. Sired by Moi in 1970!
Q: Favorite quote?
A: Tattoo on my right shoulder: “Bubba sez: Make Dust or Eat Dust!”
Q: Favorite tune on the running playlist?
A: Now lets see … “Ain’t No Mountain High ‘Nuff.”
Q: Anything you’d like to add?
A: To all our GREAT CU friends … get those donations to the FOUNDATION pouring in …
And remember: “Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways – single malt in one hand – a Cohiba in the other – body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming, “WOO HOO, What a Run!”

No shock that once again Bubba is leading the pack… Maybe he just wanted to be the first to get his “nice cheeks” published on the web!
Bubba – Thanks for sharing your GREAT thought you left us with… I certainly have never looked at life that way. And it puts a totally new perspective on things…
Thanks for continuing to keep us updated on your training and you’re zest for life.
Keep making dust!

Bubba,
Please don’t bring that blanket to the race!!
