Video Recap of the Lewisville Duathlon

What a great day for Team Little Guy! Five team members competed in the duathlon held in Lewisville, NC this morning. Some family members dropped in to watch the team have fun and run/bike hard. Some video highlights from the event are posted.

The duathlon consisted of a five mile run and 14 mile bike ride. Badrad and Agnoli formed one team, while Slacker and Major Heyden made up the other. Eman, force of nature that he is, did the kit-and-caboodle by himself.

(Edit to add: special shout outs are due to Slacker, Badrad and Agnoli. Slacker is just getting into the flow of running after a distinguished career behind the wheel of the TLG van - he ran strong and hard, setting a PR! Agnoli has been fighting a knee injury for quite a while, and yet there he was, biking hard for the team. And Badrad set a personal record yesterday! Way to go guys!)

Eman placed tenth in the overall standings and third in his age group - completing the duathlon in about one hour and 12 minutes. Heyden & Slacker came in at one hour and 30 minutes, with Badrad and Agnoli nipping at their heels — less than 30 seconds behind!

We all had a great time!

The team’s next stop is the Cherry Blossom Run in April in Washington, DC. For those of you heading up there for the run, team members have some special messages just for you at the end of this video.

    Was that video in SLOWWWWWWWWW motion or was eveyone as slow as they really are????? Congrats to Eman for a GREAT performance considering that I—-his Dad–just removed his training wheels from his bike last week! Guys—-just 47 days till ole Bubba puts a spankin’ on y’all at Cherry Blossom! OBTW….Eman that PR is 61:07!!! And on the ole tougher “original” course!!!!!
    Note: just sent a note to the Parks & Recreations folks in DC suggesting that they will NEED super glue to hold them ole Cherry Blossoms on when my wusssssssh hits them fragile little pedals!!!!
