(Well, we think it’s a really cool prize – and we think you will, too!) For any of you who have been to Washington, DC and gazed upon the dome of the US Capitol, you know it’s an impressive feature. But did you know that a few lucky people in America actually get the opportunity to tour the dome?

Thanks to the generosity of NC Congresswoman Virginia Foxx, you and six of your friends could be among the few who get to take that tour! To support Team Little Guy and the efforts of the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation, Congresswoman Foxx has agreed to arrange a Capitol Dome tour for seven lucky people!

The Dome Tour lasts about an hour, and includes the very top, inside and outside of the Capitol Dome! It is lead by a professional tour guide, with Congresswoman Foxx also joining you for the tour.

In addition to this once in a lifetime opportunity, the tour also includes a tour of the Capitol Building, and Congresswoman Foxx’s Office will do everything it can to throw in a White House Tour as well!

The winners will be responsible for travel arrangements and accommodations in DC, but you will have one year to schedule and take the tour.

So how do you get in on the action? By submitting a bid to support Team Little Guy by 5:00 pm Wednesday, August 20th! Here are the rules:

1. The minimum bid is $7,500 and may include standing sponsorship gifts to Team Little Guy.
2. Credit unions of $50 million in assets or less can pool their money and submit bids.
3. E-mail your bid to Jeff Hardin – jhardin@ncleague.org between now and 5:00 pm August 20th.
4. Bids will be posted to the Team Little Guy blog when received, so you know the standing bid amount. Please specify whether you wish your identity to be withheld during the bidding process.
5. The winner will be announced Friday morning, August 22nd in the Weekly Update email.
6. If your bid does not win, you are not obligated to donate your bid amount to the team. (But c’mon! You oughta give something!)
